After dinner last night, Tracy and Erik headed to the hospital. Bright and early this morning, we had a new addition to the family! In my entirely unbiased opinion, he's a gorgeous baby. I can also tell he's going to be brilliant. When I talked to him, he looked at me, so he's already ahead of the curve. He'll be doing calculus in no time.

After staring around at everything for awhile, things would get overwhelming for him, his mouth would start to curl up in a frown and he'd try hard to cry. After a short squeek, he'd stop, close his eyes, and rest peacefully.

Being the first child of Tracy and Erik, the first grandchild on both sides, the first nephew for the aunts and uncles, he's already got everything he needs for quite awhile. Happy birthday Steffen! Congratulations Tracy and Erik!
