Hikes 2006

On an absolutely gorgeous day late in September, I hiked to Snow Lake, above Alpental at Snoqualmie Pass.
Ron and I backpacked through Esmeralda Basin at the end of September and the weather was absolutely perfect. Unlike all the rest of our trips, nothing went wrong. We're still confused by that.
John, Michael and I explored the area around Red Mountain, just north of Lake Cle Elum. A forest fire changed our intended destination and bad signage changed it further. But we still managed to get some spectacular views of Mt. Stuart and Lake Cle Elum. Here, Michael is hanging off the steep rock slide we scrambled over when we made up our own trail.
Michael and I took a hike to Pratt Lake in July. This doesn't happen to be a picture of Pratt Lake however.
